Adam Lawrence (Proprietor and Head Designer) has an extensive design and construction background, with a strength in helping clients achieve their dream result, no matter how big or small the project.

About us

With 20 years of design and architectural drafting experience, Adam Lawrence has developed the necessary skill set to achieve each clients dream, whilst complying with the relevant council controls. Having worked with local Sydney building designer Peter Banfield, Adam Lawrence gained first hand experience of how to manage the Development Application (DA) process with council planning departments to achieve the best possible outcome to suit clients needs, and ultimately their dream home.

Design Process

  • Each project is different and requires an extensive background search of the site to determine what Council and or State controls affect the site.
  • The next stage involves communicating with the client to understand and map out the client design brief.
  • From there, next step is a measure of existing structures on the site (Site Measurement) from which, together with the client design brief, concept plans are created.
  • Concept plans are created with the two fold aim of achieving the client design brief, whilst also adhering to relevant council controls.
  • Once the concept plans have been finalised in line with the client design brief, the Development Application documentation or the Complying Development Certificate are completed and lodged on the New South Wales Planning Portal.
  • Once lodged, Lawrence Design and Drafting will liaise with Council or the Private Certifier to see the proposal through to the Construction Certificate Stage and help with engaging reputable builders.
